TSRT sent two delegates to the ASRT House of Delegates Meeting in June.  Be on the lookout for the reports on the activities of this meeting.

Kameka Rideaux and Tiffani Walker spoke before the Sunset Committee regarding the MRT Program in Texas.  Be on the lookout for their reports to the membership regarding this event.
 
TSRT Appreciates ASRT and their support in the legislative efforts regarding Sunset!  Thank you for assisting us.  We greatly appreciate everything that was done to help prepare for the hearings.

TSRT Virtual Classroom...
 
The first two courses are available online for technologists who are looking for CEU credits to meet requirements for ARRT and TDSHS-MRT Program.

You must hold a TDSHS Certification in Texas to take advantage of this service.
 
A new course will be posted each month.  Be on the lookout for more CEU offerings discipline or specialty links!

Legislative Action Required...
 
Sunset Advisory Commission Committee recommendation deadline is July 30.  The next meeting is August 13.  Keep sending your letters of opposition as we create "ONE Voice" among all imaging professionals in TEXAS!

ONE Voice Action Items...
 
1.  Send emails. Make calls.  Visit with the Sunset Commission Subcommittee members in the Amarillo, Austin, and Houston Areas.
 
2.  Send Letters to the Editor regarding the article that ran on June 25 in the Texas Tribune titled "Texas Considering No Longer Licensing X-Ray Technicians."  Visit the Sunset Tab to see an example of a Letter to the Editor!
