TSRT announces our partnership with NTRTS!

Message from TSRT President:

Six months ago, I took on the responsibility of leadership for radiologic technologists across the great state of Texas.  In that time, I have worked with our board to try to address membership needs - better communication and greater value for your hard earned membership dollars.  Just as we got started on our quest, our economic stability was challenged, requiring everyone to cut costs, address the balance of necessity over wants, and basically try to be creative in getting all that we need to do more creatively.  TSRT had to address this as well.  In trying to continue to provide greater levels of service and opportunity, TSRT had to think outside of its traditional box.  As is commonplace in corporate America, TSRT accepted an opportunity to partner with one of its affiliates, the North Texas Radiologic Technologist Society (NTRTS) in hosting our annual meeting.  We are very excited about this win-win opportunity!

This year in Dallas, the Annual TSRT meeting will convene outside of its traditional hotel environment and meet on the campus of Brookhaven College.  Coupling the meeting with the Annual Spring Fling of NTRTS offers greater opportunity for everyone.  Commonly held in close time proximities, this joint venture sets a new precedent with our professional organization - meeting together for a common goal - that being continuing education, information sharing, social opportunities, and professional growth for everyone.  What a concept!  We pooled resources and have come up with a program that rivals all other TSRT offerings.  While the venue is different, the quality is enhanced.  Together we are providing the technologists of the state and the organizational members exactly what we said we would provide; an affordable meeting centrally located that meets our needs.  This partnering effort will assist TSRT in maintaining a financially viable structure with which we serve our members.  Leveraging commonalities, TSRT and NTRTS are offering more to both organizations' members.

TSRT and NTRTS together thank you all in advance for your support of this meeting.  As President of TSRT, I personally thank you for your continued support and enthusiaasm as we prepare to convene in Dallas.
