Michael Hart, R.T. (R) (CV) (CT)
Nomination as President-Elect
I am honored and
privileged to accept the nomination to the office of President Elect for the TSRT. I graduated with a degree in Radiography
from Amarillo College in 1993 and with a bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University in 2007. During my career as a Radiologic Technologist, I have worked
in general radiography, special procedures and in CT scan for the past 10 years.
I am also a co-owner in a small continuing education firm which presents live lectures as
well as offering home studies. I have been lecturing for the past 4 years. I have lectured at a local society meeting, TSRT,
OSRT (Oklahoma), Amarillo College Radiography Symposium and multiple XRAYCERTS conferences in 4
different states.
If elected to the
President Elect position, I would serve the TSRT with great pride for our professional society and profession. I would serve
the current and new society members to bring continued strength and increased awareness to our profession
Lynette K. Watts, MSRS, RT(R)
Nomination as 1st Vice President
It is my privilege to accept the nomination for the office of TSRT 1st VP.
I became an active member in Radiologic Technology professional societies when I moved back to Texas in 2001and joined the Wichita Falls
Area RT Society, as well as the TSRT. Through the years I have volunteered
as both Vice President and Treasurer (two years each) with the Wichita Falls Society.
I served as a judge for the student competition and presented at the 2008 TSRT conference on South Padre Island,
I spoke at the ASRT International Conference in Denver in 2006, and presented numerous times at the Wichita Falls Society of Radiologic
Technologists in Wichita Falls and the Association for College Educators in Radiologic Technology in Las Vegas, NV.
Some of the lectures I presented were radiation safety and interactions, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, forensic radiography, chest and abdominal radiography, and how to counsel
difficult students.
I am an Assistant Professor at Midwestern State University in Wichita
Falls, TX. I teach the associate-level positioning
labs and several baccalaureate-level courses. I always enjoyed the patient contact
I had as a radiographer, but when the opportunity to teach future radiographers arose, I knew it would be a good career move,
and I was excited to change venues in my profession. I am currently working on
my PhD in Educational Studies through the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. As 1st VP, I would like
to serve the members of TSRT at a new level, become active in legislative issues, and increase TSRT membership.
